 Mumbai, Oct 13: After weeks of talent hunting and energy packed performances, viewers across the world voted Aneek Dhar as ‘Vishwa Vijeta’ of Zee’s ‘Sangeet Ka Pratham Vishwayudh,’ India’s biggest music reality show in a glittering event held here tonight in Mumbai.
Aneek received 3, 65, 89134 crore votes through sms, the first runner-up Raja Hasan got 3.52 crore and the second runner-up from Pakistan received 3, 43, 14257 crore votes.
Aneek Dhar of Himesh Reshammiya’s rock gharana is also the winner of Zee bangla ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’. Aneek became the most favourite boy amongst masses, when he sang the ‘Sandeshey aatey hain’ from the film ‘Border.’ Aneek earlier courted controversy by proposing Dia Mirza, who came to the show as guest.
Minutes before the winner was announced, the three finalists gave a rocking performance with a hit song of ‘Mast Kalandar’ from the movie ‘Hey Baby’. Akshay Kumar, the leading Bollywood super star, was the hot guest of the show.
The star performance of the show came from Mauli Dave of USA who made crowd dance to her ‘Maiyya maiyaa’ song a composition of AR Rehman. Mauli Dave was adjudged with ‘Best performer of the Year’ award by judges.
Poonam Yadav from Lucknow was declared as the ‘Spark of the show’. Promising talent Poonam undisputedly was the leading female voice of the show. Poonam thanked the organisers for selecting her as she used to work in a telephone booth on a stipend of Rs 600 per month.
The grand finale saw some spectacular performances from the three participants Amanat Ali of Pakistan, Raja Hasan of India and Annek Dhar of India. Aneek made the huge gathering of the grand finale dance to the tunes of the song ‘Mehbooba Oh Mehbooba’ the hit number from Sholay.
While on the other hand Amanat who earned lot of praise for singing RD Burman’s ‘Tujhse se naaraz nahi zindagi’ earlier in the show stole the thunder once again with his performance on the hit song ‘Doori’ originally sung by Atif Aslam.
Raja Hasan the third finalist who comes from humble backgrounds in Rajasthan and famous for his sufi voice Raja made crowd stand to the tunes of ‘Ma Tujhe Salaam’ again a AR Rehman’s composition. Raja was mentored by Vishal-Shekhar of Hit gharana.
Grand finale also saw a surprise performance from Akshay Kumar who sang songs from his own movie ‘Bhool Bhulaya’.
The show earlier saw the three female participants like Sumedha, Poonam and Mauli voted out at various stages. Aditya Narayan son of famous Bollywood singer Udit Narayan was the host of the show. Show which earned the reputation earlier by producing singers like Kunal Ganjawala, and Shreya Ghosal also saw Asha Bhonsle as judge at one point.
