DhamaalHis Masti and Pyare Mohan were about male bonding. Director Indra Kumar treads the same path once again in his latest Dhamaal that releases Friday.

Starring Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh and Ashish Chowdhry, the film revolves around four lovable idiots who are running away from an inspector.

Deshbandhu Roy (Riteish Deshmukh) sees himself as the greatest detective in the world, but bungles up every job he gets. Another dimwit is Aditya (Arshad Warsi). He presents himself as a world-class musician and manages to get loads of appreciation from people till they discover it's a tape, and not him playing all that great music. As expected, he is then showered with abuses.

Aditya's younger brother Manav (Jaaved Jaafery), and a part of the gang, is equally dumb and often puts his foot in the mouth with disastrous results.

Boman (Ashish Chowdhry) is a timid young guy. He is terrorised by his father and bullied by friends. Though he tries his level best to avoid getting into trouble, he ends up attracting trouble.

The four live together. They don't believe in earning an honest living and so do small-time con jobs.

One day they hit the jackpot while trying to save a dying man, Bose (Prem Chopra). Unfortunately for them, police inspector Kabir Nayak (Sanjay Dutt), who has been chasing Bose for the last 10 years, also reaches the spot to find the foursome next to the body.

He questions them. They inadvertently blurt out their plans about whacking Bose's money before managing to escape. Now begins a cat and mouse chase. One misadventure follows another, and the four friends and the inspector are thrown into hilarious situations.

The story is interesting and if the script and dialogue are taut it should have the audience in splits.

Indra Kumar's comedy Masti hit the high notes when released in 2004. Two years later came Pyare Mohan with a similar theme, but the film was rejected by both critics and audiences.

It now has to seen whether this comic caper succeeds in luring the crowds and impressing the critics.
